I've visited several other support requests for similar issues, but I cannot seem to nip this one in the bud. I've got three errors:
[ Moderator note: <li>
wrapped. ]
- FTP credentials don't allow to write to file /.htaccess
- W3 Total Cache Error: Files and directories could not be automatically created to complete the installation.
- W3 Total Cache error:It appears Minify URL rewriting is not working. Please verify that the server configuration allows .htaccess
Now, we're currently testing an installation on Bluehost using an alternate URL (http://ipaddress/~useraccount). During the migration, I deactivated W3TC and WP Better Security as they were preventing the migration (using BackupBuddy) from successfully finishing the database dump. When the database was successfully restored on the dev site, I reactivated W3TC and WP Better Security. After looking at other support requests, I've since deactivated WP Better Security and still have the same errors.
The site is up and running but W3TC just doesn't seem to be working at all. It is still working perfectly on GoDaddy, where the domain is still hosted.
I've manually changed the .htaccess file to 777 and even added the suggested code to that file, and I still get the same errors.
This is really the only thing that is preventing us from being ready to completely move this WP install off GoDaddy to Bluehost. I'd appreciate any help with this matter.
