techsurgeons on "[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Looking ahead to PHP 5.5... Zend Optimizer & the end of APC"

Looking ahead to PHP 5.5 and seeing that APC is pretty much a dead cache walking, will W3TC be able to use Zend Optimizer as a substitute for APC? Or should we prepare to switch over to a different Op Cache method?
