Hi,
I don't see W3 Total Cache settings in .htaccess file.
I am using Better Security Plugin.
Does this mean W3 Total Cache is not functioning
or are the settings shifted somewhere else?
Kindly guide,
Dr. Ashok Koparday

I've recently set up the plugin with success, however I recently came across this article: http://www.rackspace.com/knowledge_center/article/best-practices-for-using-cloud-files It recommends using multiple containers for serving different file types for speed optimization and organization.
How can I implement this when there is only one container field in the CDN settings for rackspace?
Thanks in advance
Mike
Are there any instruction on how to either uninstall or fix W3 Total Cache. When I did our church web site, I had it installed on a folder on our web site and then I copied the files over to the pc and published to our root directory. I know I should have uninstalled total cache first but didn't know then. Now, when I try to uninstall it, I get a blue screen. It's inactivated but still on the web site. Now, we want to install a new theme and design but I don't want to do anything until I get this fixed or working right. The version of of W3 Total Cache I have installed is Version 0.9.2.8. Our web site is http://www.rainbowtemple.com
Dang, it looks like we're seeing the same RSS problem since upgrading to version W3TC 0.9.3...
Does disabling "Cache feeds" under the Page Cache Settings do anything for you?
Same problem here
How would I fix this error? "W3 Total Cache error: It appears Page Cache URL rewriting is not working. Please verify that the server configuration allows .htaccess
Unfortunately disk enhanced page caching will not function without custom rewrite rules. Please ask your server administrator for assistance. Also refer to the install page for the rules for your server.
Technical info"
I'm experiencing the exact same symptoms, except I'm using AWS S3 as my CDN. Works great, uploads to S3, show the images from S3 on the front-end, but all the image links in the Media Gallery are not being re-written and are instead pointing to non-existant files on the local host.
There is a another plugin called wp-favorites posts I use. It makes use of the cookies in order to mark the favorite posts for the non-logged in users. These are few methods that I have already tried to change in the W3tc settings and failed.
1. w3tc > Page Cache > Rejected cookie setting - wp-favorite-posts (I guess this is the cookie key, let me know if I am not supposed to do that or how to locate the right cookie name.).
2. w3tc > Page Cache > Never cache the following pages: /my-favorites-template-page-url
3. I have even unchecked the W3tc > Page cache > cache posts page option. As the plugin marks every post so I thought vil give it a try but no hopes there.
The above settings do not work for non-logged in users. Click on the button only refreshes the page and nothing happens, the post does not get marked. Please let me know what I am doing wrong.
Everything works fines with w3tc deactivated or the admin logged in though. I love w3tc too much and do not want to try any other caching plugin. Please help.
I tried that but it didn't seem to make any difference.
Hi, we have a site that gets around 5k page views per day. Mostly static content with a blog that gets updated weekly (but most traffic comes to home page and is interested in static content).
It's currently running on a VPS with 4GB ram and WHM installed on the server.
Is there some sort of resource that will explain how to set up w3 optimally for this server config and our site needs?
I have been reading over guides for the last day or two and it is all very confusing. So many different caching options such as opcode (whatever that is!) or just using the disk caching, nginx, memcache, etc.
I have no idea what it all means and what we should be doing, and not sure where to hire someone that could be trusted playing around with this stuff.
it would be great to find a definitive guide on setting up W3 on a VPS server that's using WHM (probably a lot of people in this situation).
Or just a couple of tips/insights would be great. Thanks!
Hi,
I am receiving this error mail from W3 Total Cache.
"Unfortunately, an error occurred while creating the minify cache. Please check your settings to ensure your site is working as intended.
Thanks for using W3 Total Cache."
Also on WP-Dashboard I am getting below message.
"Recently an error occurred while creating the CSS / JS minify cache: File "/home/basunxe3/public_html/wp-content/themes/pub/minileven/js/small-menu.js" doesn't exist."
What may be the cause? Can anybody help me how to configure it properly?
Hi,
i understood that the "Expires header lifetime:" in browser page determines the "life" of a cached page; is that true? I am asking this because it doesn't seem to work for me.
My problem is that cached pages are never invalidated/deleted. I need to "empty all cache" if I want to see some modification that doesn't relay specifically to wordpress.
So my very basic question is:
Is there a way to invalidate cached pages (preferably with disk enhanced but even with disk basic ) every 1200 secs to have my site always refreshed? How can I reach this goal?
Is there something I should change in object/database cache too? At the moment cache values for both are the standard ones.
Many thanks,
Marcello
Ok i don't get what is going on with my homepage, but i keep having the mistake where i can't update or remove things from my cart, or well i can update/delete the cart if i choose the option twice The homepage is
http://www.butikknagerækken.dk
If anyone can help me.. i'd be happy
Trying to turn it off didn't do anything for us either!
Instead it kept serving up the dated RSS feed, no help at all.
What I had to do is manually go to the wp-content/w3tc/pgcache/feed/
directory and forcibly remove the stale files in there.
Once that was done and W3TC was removed from the equation, the current RSS feed was refreshed and started being served again on its own... Hopefully it lasts once we add a new post.
But of course the feed is no longer cached by W3TC now, so hopefully this gets fixed soon so we can reenable the caching.
(BTW, did you recently upgrade from a much older version like 0.9.2.4? Wondering if our doing that might have anything to do with the appearance of this problem.)
The plugin returns me some false negative in the compatibility check.

Could it generate some error or performance trouble?
This worked for me: just remove the files/folders:
- File: /wp-content/advanced-cache.php
- Folder: /wp-content/cache/And try again. It will skip the missing function and install the correct files/folder for you.
its saved my time thanks
I cannot make this work. I want a code to not be cached (frag cache), so according to the FAQ, this should work:
<!-- mfunc set_post_views($post_id); --><!-- /mfunc -->
Or this:
<!-- mfunc --> wpb_set_post_views($post_id); <!-- /mfunc -->
I use WP 3.6, latest version of W3 using Page cache Disk Advanced, Minify on and object caching Memcached.
I added mfunc to ignore list for Minify but still didn't work.
I'm having the same problem on some pages. If I'm logged in, I can refresh the browser and the page will display. If I disable the plugin, the site works as expected.
Got this exact issue - says "error empty access key" when testing distribution.
1) It is NOT empty!
2) CDN is WORKING as it should!
Just a glitch to iron out.
subject line is from someone who i also am having same problem with. here is link:
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-contentcache-folder-at-20-gb
in my case, my cache folders filled up so much hosting deactivated my account. why isn't folder removing cache content? i am using most recent upgrade. what is weird is it is only happening on 3 or 4 wp blogs on my account and not all 12 blogs. they all have exact same configs.
