PPNSteve on "[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Minify Auto does not work properly"

Minify Auto does not work properly. Try using Minify Manual instead or try another Minify cache method. You can also try a lower filename length value manually on settings page by checking "Disable the Minify Auto automatic filename test"

W3TC ver 0.9.3

Can NOT set any common settings such as setting minify to disable the Minify Auto automatic filename test, filename length, page cache compatibility settin, etc.
When I set a setting or two and click 'save all settings' it just reverts back to what was previously (default?) set.

Need some help here getting this straightened out.

gd0g on "[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Using w3 to host media on Amazon S3"

Sorry this is probably a dumb question however I probably am dumb! Im using your plugin to send my media files to my amazon s3 account which I have set up and is working fantastic! My question is - is it best to optimise your setup by not storing the media also on your local server? My set up is sending the files to the local server as well. I would have though that ideally that you would not want to duplicate were the media is being stored? If this is correct can you please advise if I have to change any w3 settings to make this happen?

Thanks in advance

I was directed here from a thread I started about this problem. None of the solutions listed here work.

Any ideas?

I've similar issue. The error message says:
W3 Total Cache Error: Can't read file /var/www/dws/wp-content/cache/config/master.php. Remove it manually.
Any Idea why I'm getting this error? I'm also running into another issue with uploading files. It says “Image” has failed to upload due to an error
Failed to write file to disk.
I've verified that the Apache user has enough permissions and it was working fine last week. I believe nothing has changed since then but still I'm running into these two issues.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm running into an error message with w3 total Cache plugin. The error message says W3 Total Cache Error: Can't read file /var/www/dws/wp-content/cache/config/master.php. Remove it manually.
This is the second time I had this issue. First time when I found this error, I couldn't find a solution so I had to re-install everything including wordpress. Any Idea why I'm getting this error? I'm also running into another issue with uploading files. It says “Image” has failed to upload due to an error
Failed to write file to disk. I think it has something to do with W3 error above. Last time also I had these two errors the lead me to re-install everything.
I've checked the directory permissions, It does have write access and it was working fine until last week.
Any help to fix the problem would be greatly appreciated.

When I test Rackspace Cloud Files, I also get the error:

Error: Empty hostname / CNAME list.

I'm seeing the following in the log:

PHP Warning: array_merge(): Argument #1 is not an array in /var/www/dev.mysite.com/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/lib/W3/AdminActions/CdnActionsAdmin.php on line 377

The function that's failing is action_cdn_test(), somehow it's not getting the CNAME that is entered in the CDN config.

We started seeing transfer queue errors today, so things are feeling very wobbly. We're considering a downgrade to a prior version of W3TC...here's a link to the 0.9.2.11 if anyone's interested: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/w3-total-cache.0.9.2.11.zip

Any word on a fix for this?

After toggling through different general setting options, I've found this error has to do with the Object Cache. Any ideas on what's happening?

I have a plugin that I use to check if a cookie exists or not. If it doesn't I set depending if the article the user is reading is a free article or not. If they have read 2 articles in a day they get redirect to a page to ask them to sign up/donate to the website. Quite simple.

I installed W3Total cache to get the site running well. With page cache and object cache running the site runs fast, but my plugin doesn't always get called.

I would love it if we could ignore my plugin file when caching. And I have entered this in to the Page cache setting "Never cache the following pages":

wp-content/plugins/elephantMember/elephant.php

I also entered

wp-content/plugins/elephantMember/elephant\.php

just in case it didn't like the fullstop. Also I entered

elephant.php
elephant\.php

How do I stop W3 Total cache from caching my plugin? I am on Windows, using WinCache.

Hi there,

Like I said in the title, is there anyway to exclude user role from New Relic's RUM?

In the end, I really only use new relic's to monitor end user performance... In that case, I want to excluse any request made on the administration page by any admins who are often in the section and makes pretty heavy loads on the server. It changes everything, from an average 7-8 seconds total loading time with admins to 2-3 without!

I know I can enable RUM for specific roles... But is there any way to disable it for specific roles?
