Cache error message: How to force cache to clear on interval

I received this message

“Cache Error: Looking for cache that doesn’t exist. Now using a backup feed.
This error is only visible to WordPress admins.
If you are using a caching plugin, try enabling the option on the Customize tab ‘Cache error API recheck’ or ‘Force cache to clear on interval.”

Where can I enable these options?

Thanks

can i exclude woocommerce wishlist counter?

is there a way to exclude a segment of a page from caching?

most of the page can be cached, but i am going to use a wishlist plugin for woocommerce, and with other cache plugins it seems that the wishlist counter in the header is not updated when an item is added to the wishlist

is this all or nothing for page caching, or can i keep certain sections of the page dynamic while caching the rest of the page?

thanks

Blank page in Backend after saving post or page

If I save page/post I got a blank page, but post/page are saved (updated). If I deactivate W3 TC the problem disappear (same if I used SuperCache).
It does not happen if I update some configuration.
I change the host recently and the problem is still there.

Any ideas?

Using FSD (full site delivery) and Couldflare

Hello –

I have upgraded to the paid version, which allows you to do FSD via a number of CDN’s. Is there any documentation on how to configure W3TC FSD to work with CLoudflare?

I know that for the MaxCDN FSD option you need to buy an additional service from MaxCDN so that you can also use the ‘www’ instance as a custom domain, plus a couple other changes. I suspect that Cloudflare also has some implementation requirements as well.

Thanks in advance,
Marco

Hey,

I’m trying to setup cloudfront CDN for my media and when I select enable CDN and select cloudfront from the dropdown and click save I get this error:

Can’t change configuration: Can’t write to temporary file

Maybe I don’t have certain permissions enable on my webhost to a file or folder the plugin is trying to write to. With that said, can you point me in the right direction pls.

Can I configure the value of max-age?

Hi,
I’ve configured W3 Total Cache to use both Expires and Cache-Control headers, and have set 31536000 seconds (365 days) to cache Media & Other files.
BUT – Check out the response that I’m getting for the background image (daniel-sessler-552951-unsplash-Medium.jpg) of my homepage (https://hakolmutzar.co)

Why is max-age set to 21600 seconds?

I’m using Cloudflare CDN, but have currently configured Cloudflare to “Respect Existing Headers” under “Browser Cache”, so that I know I’m doing a credible trial and error.

Any ideas?? I’m so frustrated.. Have been Googling for hours and couldn’t find anything!

Thank you!!

Hello,

I have been trying the W3 totalcache and it has been working fine, but recently after updating, there is the problem that after social login with google, only some pages appear as logged in, the others pages will not be logged in until I refresh those pages.

I contacted the theme seller and they said it is related to the caching.
Please can you help me solve this problem?

Thanks in advance!

WP Engines PHP Compatibility Checker maintains a whitelist of compatible plugins that produce false positives. Please get this plugin added to their list.

The only issues identified are false positives to do with backward compatible use of ‘mysql_’ extensions and php files that contain no php (but importantly without using the asp_tags <% %> tags).

Manual JS Minify: “Before option not working”

Hi all,

I have been working with this plugin for a few months and it helped me to improve the performance of the WordPress site I develop.

One option I was not able to get working was in the manual minify.
There are 3 options:
– Before </head>
– After <body>
– Before </body>

When I group some js files in the first one or the second one, it works fine. But when I select a js file for “Before </body>” it does not appear.
I can see that there are 2 minified .js files: one for “before </head>” and one for “after <body>”. But when I select the last option, no minified .js file appears.

By the way, I am using the Avada theme.

Could someone explain to me if this is working or if the option is incompatible for some reason?

Regards

Trivial Question: Where do we set page cache expiration time?

Seems like a trivial question but… We have a website using W3TC, which doesn’t get modified very frequently. At present the cache gets refreshed each day: where do we set a different timing (I.E. 1 week) for page cache?

Thanks in advance

Page and Database Cache causing issue

When I enable Page Cache and Database Cache, the site seems to speed up however some custom JS functionalities are affected. So I had to turn off both these options. I’ve had to setup Manual mode for Minify to resolve some JS issues. With Page and Database cache turned off, the site isn’t performing well.

Issue with page refresh

Hello. I made a small edit to one of my PHP templates, then refreshed the front-end of one of my pages. But the edit did not appear. I then carried out an ’empty all caches’ in Performance–>Dashboard, and carried out a hard reset on the page. But the edit still did not appear. I then deactivated W3 Total Cache and refreshed the page, and the edit appeared on the page. Is this expected behavior, or am I doing something wrong? Shouldn’t ’empty all caches’ resolve this particular issue? Or will I sometimes have to deactivate/reactivate the plugin to get my edits to appear?

Thanks.
