After setting up W3 Total Cache, I get this error when I try to edit a page using Divi’s Visual Builder in combination with Advanced TinyMCE editor:
“content could not be displayed.
TypeError: Cannot set property ‘onload’ of null in TinyMCE in div in ETBUilderControlTinyMCE in t in div in div……”
Once I disabled W3 Total Cache, the error went away and I was able to use TinyMCE in Divi’s Visual Builder without a problem.
Any solution?

Now my support question, to anyone having experienced the same and (hopefully) having found a solution?

Clearly they originate from the time when we tested the impact of all sorts of different settings (and not only w3tc), at which we did test w3tc minify as well, yes. We have to do extensive testing, we make a living from making wordpress websites fast. But normally at the end of testing all old links to files get deleted. These ones though we cannot find where/when/by what they are called such that speed tests (and console/network) show them despite non-existent.
It is clear to me that the files belonged to w3tc earlier. But countless cache purges later, and the links still exist somewhere. We even re-installed w3tc, but no luck.
Does anyone have experience why, or how to get rid of them?
Again, the files do not exist, no, there is not even a minify folder anymore as we figured we don’t need that.

I have bought W3 Total Cache and after installation when i ran the Compatibility test i got the following red messages

I called Host Gator and they told it is a plugin problem and not there Server problem.
Please suggest what should i do.

Hi I have installed W3 total cache on my site since long. And my sitemaps were showing no images. I am using yoast for SEO. I just found out that when W3 total cache is activated, yoast doesn’t show any images in page sitemap. There is some incompatibility or any setting which is preventing images from showing. Google webmaster immediately shows images when W3 total cache is deactivated and shows zero images when this plugin is activated. Due to this, I had to deactivate this plugin. Kindly provide any solution so that I can continue to use it.

Thanks for responding for previous different thread (unrelated to this one).
I tried to search for documentation but couldn’t find much information. is there a documentation about integrating pragmatically with w3tc. I’m writing custom type of page that only uses little from wordpress. and I wonder if there is an easy way to integrate with w3tc. to cache for example the page, or most importantly cache database results by calling some functions from w3tc. this is for myself and not meant as plugin for the public.

Are this, the rules that W3TC rewrite in htaccess file? Because I see they are written in htaccess file. What is this issue and how to fix? Is this a bug?

Multisite settings not clear.
I have a multisite insatll for only two subfolders sites.
1)example.com redirects to example.com/es
2)example.com/en
I use the hueman theme with 3 child themes with little customization.
In minify I choose the settings recomended for hueman theme.
However, in the css I also choose the style for each child theme, which is really the same, between them. There is a difference in other files of each child theme.
At this point is unclear which has to be the active theme.
A few minutes ago, I discovered that this option is check by default:
“Use single network configuration file for all sites.
Only one configuration file for whole network will be created and used. Recommended if all sites have the same configuration.”
I will appreciate if somebody could show me a kb for W3TC, with a clear guide about multisite and child theme styles minification

Hi,
I’m using the Enfold theme, which loads Fontello icons, and I noticed in IE11 these icons displaying as Chinese characters. Changing Performance > General Settings > Page Cache > Page Cache Method from “Disk: Enhanced” to “Disk: Basic” resolves the problem. But of course this isn’t ideal for performance reasons. Can you help me get this working with “Disk: Enhanced”?
Is there a way to exclude .eot, .woff, .ttf and .svg files from the cache?

It appears the plugin is interfering with Yoast SEO. I have a sitemap that is not showing any pages. I have been instructed by Yoast support to look into how to exclude XML sitemaps and XSL stylesheets. I looked into the settings and there is nothing indicating how to do this in W3.
Could you help me figure this out?

The wordfence plugin is reporting a virus on the file below. It seems to only be there while W3 TotalCache is installed.
I have deleted the plugin and Wordfence showed a clear report. I installed W3 TotalCache back and the virus came back.
Can you check on your end, please.

I have enabled browser cache, database cache, Page cache, object cache and minify cache. Due to enabling them my browsing url is deprecated and its look like below:-
https://xyz.com/wp-content/cache/page_enhanced/xyz.com/category/infographic/_index.html_gzip
But it should be look like:-
https://xyz.com/category/infographic
It is happening for particular pages only rather than other working fine.So can you tell me please what i did wrong.
So due to deprecation of the URL it will show me Page not found.

Hello,
after activating the FSD CDN with Amazon Cloudfront, the “Visual/HTML” tabs have disappeared from the editor.
As soon as I deactivate the FSD option and update DNS, the “Visual/HTML” tab is back.
I have no errors on the console.
I deactivated all the plugins and switched back to the default theme to exclude plugin conflicts, but the problem is still there.
I’m using WordPress 4.9.6 and W3TC 0.9.7.

We have multiple versions of a page using different URL parameters:
https://…/post
https://…/post?ver=10
If we modify the post the first URL gets purged from the cache but the old ver=10 versions stays in the cache. Therefore only the URL without parameters is up-to-date.
We are using the basic disk cache. Having different versions in the cache is perfectly fine but as soon as the post gets modified all versions shall be purged.
Is this a known issue? How can we solve this?

I’m interested with W3 Total Cache feature to upload my media files to Amazon S3 Bucket.
Currently I’m building a small-to-medium community site with BuddyPress and I’m expecting user to upload videos.
My question is, if I use S3 to move my files away from my server, will it work with Jetpack VideoPress if I put the option to delete my files after they were uploaded to my S3 Bucket? The video will still play as usual or not?
Does anyone here ever try using this with Jetpack? Thank you

I have this plugin running on two sites that use Amazon Cloudfront for the CDN. On May 3, one site started sending invalidations to Cloudfront. At first there were anywhere from a few to 1000 invalidations per day. Starting May 19, there were 7000 invalidations per day. Amazon charges $0.005 per invalidation after 1000, so I ended up with a $500 bill for Cloudfront for May.
I have disabled the CDN for now, so it stopped. As far as I can tell, W3 Total Cache was the only plugin updated around that time, and the only one that should affect CDN.
I saw another post which said to use the generic setting instead of the Cloudfront setting, so I will give that a try. Is there anything else I can do to make sure this doesn’t happen again?

I am using W3TC with Docker and have noticed that the configuration disappears after restarting the container. Is there any way to persist this to the database so that when I deploy a new container I don’t have to reset this?
Exporting/importing works via the Admin Dashboard > Performance > General Settings, but that is after the container is deployed and running. This is rather impactful as instances need to scale out automatically.
I tried importing with WordPress CLI in entrypoint.sh with little luck and have reverted to copying /w3tc-config/master.php in the Dockerfile build process as a temporary kludge. This is less than ideal as we have multiple environments that use the same image with different databases/cdn connections and a high likelyhood of keys being held in source control.
Would it be possible to save this configuration to the database?
