Dear W3TC-Team,

Apparently the recent update also had an impact on our webpage and the revolution slider we use at http://www.thearcticinstitute.org

It seems that the revolution slider is not centering the headlines anymore. Until recently the headlines were nicely centered, now it’s only one line on top of the image. Initially I thought it’s Autoptimize but it seems it’s W3TC; with a disabled plugin the headlines are centered again.

Any idea on how to fix the issue?

Hello,

We are using “salient” theme. Their documentation refers to W3 Total cache for minification. So we installed W3 Total cache plugin and enabled js and css minification. We are getting js and css file in cache/minify folder when inspected from the browser in the sources section. Please look into it as it affects the website performance.

Hi,

With last update of W3C (3.3.3) I got console issue “Uncaught SyntaxError: missing ) after argument list” and slider got white spece on the left and right (It not any more in full width). When I disable W3C everything is fine.

Finally, I configured W3TC very well on Nginx web server. I’m using Disk:basic option and I have added custom http headers like “X-robots-tag
noindex, nofollow” via Nginx configuration. Also Multilingual Press plugin added below http header:
“link:
https://example.net/tr/ rel=”alternate”; hreflang=”tr-TR”
https://example.net/ rel=”alternate”; hreflang=”en-US”
for SEO purpose. Everything is working well.

However, If I set page cache method “Disk:enhanced”, all of above http headers are removing. Also W3TC is removing its own security headers on “browser cache settings” such as X-Frame-Options header or Referrer Policy header.

What is difference between Disk:basic and Disk:enhanced? Why these custom http headers are removed by plugin?

I have a site with W3TC and a Memory Limit set in 512M, however sometimes I’m getting this kind of errors in wp-content/debug.log:

The files involved in these errors are not the same everytime, but the errors are always the same, “Out of memory” AND “Cannot use output buffering…”. First I thought it could be a memory problem, however as I mentioned in the beginning, the memory limit is set in 512, I think it’s high, so I don’t know exactly what could be causing these errors. If you could guide me, I’ll appreciate it.

Hi there,

I use a plugin that creates urls like this:
/abc/?productid=123
/abc/?productid=234
/abc/?productid=345

Each url shows different content. Is there a way to tell W3 total cache to cache these pages without having to enable the caching of all query parameters?

Here the options that I found:
Page cache > Cache URIs with query string variables: This apparently means that it is caching all urls with query parameters, so matter which parameters there are. I do not want this either because I might have some query parameters that should not be cached.
Page cache > Accepted query strings: This tells W3 total cache to ignore the query string, so it would show the same content no matter the value of the parameter productid – this is not what I want.

Is there any other option or a combination of options that allows to explicitly cache specific query parameters?

I saw this when I logged onto my web site. On the main WordPress dashboard, the Updates tab is also gone and the plugins page is not showing which plugins have updates available. I currently have version 0.9.7 installed. Is this related to the bug I read about in other posts over the past couple of days?

I have W3 Total cache and WordFence running on one of my website for a long time now.
Today I had an alert from WordFence (after updating W3 Total cache) :

wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/PgCache_ContentGrabber.php
and
wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/lib/Nusoap/nusoap.php

This file is a PHP executable file and contains the word “eval” (without quotes) and the word “base64_decode(” (without quotes). The eval() function along with an encoding function like the one mentioned are commonly used by hackers to hide their code.

I wanted to check if this is OK as it’s the 1st time I have this security alert.

Hello,

We are using “salient” theme. Their documentation refers to W3 Total cache for minification. So we installed W3 Total cache plugin and enabled js and css minification. We are getting js and css file in cache/minify folder when inspected from the browser in the sources section. Please look into it as it affects the website performance.

unable to upload attachments or media with Amazon CDN activated after last update (0.9.7.1).
An HTTP Error is shown and the upload is aborted.

It seems only one argument is passed to W3TC\Cdn_Plugin::check_inserting_new_attachment() through WordPress class-wp-hook.php.

I updated the W3 Total Cache plugin from version 0.9.7 to 0.9.7.1 a few days ago. That was the only plugin that I updated.

Since the update the WordPress Toolbar (Admin bar), which is shown on top of a page as a logged-in WordPress user, is broken. A shadow of the toolbar items appear under the actual items (in preview mode of a page, not in edit mode). The shadow appears for all the items that are located on the right side of the “Performance” item (which is for W3 Total Cache), including for the search bar and the user profile.

When I disable W3 Total Cache this issue disappears and the Toolbar looks normal. I’m using WordPress 5.0.3. I could also attach a screenshot of the broken Toolbar if you provide an email address.

Could you please check this and let me know your suggestion for fixing it. Thank you.

Hello,

I seem to be having a problem with uploading images when I have CDN Mirror turned on (not the other problem that’s been reported recently).

It ends up in this resulting error:

Hello,

Thanks for this great app. When using Redis Object Cache I can use a redis server socket for more speed compared to the IP layer.

Now this is the code block:

Hi,

In a staging site that I run, I’ve installed W3TC and Envira Gallery plugins among others.
When JS minification is enabled in the W3TC, the Envira Gallery is not working as it should (the isotope/masonry behaviour is broken)
When JS minification is disabled, Envira Gallery is displayed correctly.
No error in google chrome js console.

I’ve manually selected js and css files to be minimised and excluded the Envira js and css.

I’ve initially reached out to the Envira Gallery Plugin developers, but after a back and forth of emails they directed me here.

I don’t want to deactivate minification, because is essential for load speed and size of the site.

Do you have something to suggest?

I have the “W3 Total Cache” plugin configured, just need to enter the Keys APIs of Cloudflare.

When I go to W3 Total Cache -> Extensions -> Cloudflare -> Settings and I press “Authorize”, it does absolutely nothing.
