Hi there, Thank you so much for the greatest speed and performance plugin. It’s amazing and absolutely the best.
I would like to know the recommended time to keep the cache for. I think by default it’s 15 minutes and I set it to purge all after updating a post. Is it okay to keep it for a day or 12 hours? And is there a way to exclude certain pages or post from purge? I have pages that I never update, is their a way to make them keep the cache until manually purge?

I’ve got a new install of w3tc and was not getting results I expected for browser caching of images. I looked in my .htaccess file and there are no entries for W3TC. Is this normal. My memory is that at least once upon a time there were a lot of entries in .htaccess from this plugin.
My .htaccess permissions are 644.
Any thoughts? If indeed they are missing, is there a set of prescribed additions to the file I can manually add or do the entries rely on my individual configuration?

If I choose:
Handle XML mime type in Performance > Page Cache,
the site doesn’t redirect pages without a trailing slash to the page with a trailing slash.
I think choosing this changes htaccess rules and this creates the bug.

Cache priming works only on main language (a domain with actual WP installation).
Other languages run on different domains using WPML. These are not cached at all.
Is it possible to pre-cache other languages, too?
There is no option to include multiple sitemap.xml files (1 sitemap per language).

I can see that page_enhanced contains my pages, but since these htaccess entries are missing so I do not benefit from them.

Hi,
I’m using php-fpm with PHP 7.2.27 and it seems that the plugin cannot generate pages on the directory of page enhanced directory.
The mod_rewrite is already installed, but the plugin can’t detect that !!!
If I switch to Memcached, will the speed be better than disk or what?
By the way, I can’t live without php-fpm–

We use an ERP system. The ERP system is connected to our WordPress site. Around the clock, new images from the ERP system are loaded into the WordPress site. Unfortunately, the plugin does not automatically load the new images into the CDN. We always have to manually start the upload by clicking ‘Upload attachments’. With over 10,000 images, this is not a viable way. What are we doing wrong here?

I’m seeing none of the expected files generated in my wp-content/cache folder. I tried deleting the folder, restarting NGINX, activate/deactivate W3TC, and various settings changes.
Unchecking “Rewrite URL structure” seemed to get us closest to working, but then we get that the stylesheet is MIME typed text/html and it’s discarded.
We tried manual mode and it suggests no JavaScript files or stylesheets for minification, even though in auto mode it clearly recognizes there’s things to minify and just fails to minify them.
Any ideas? Nearly 100 non-minified requests is a bit heavy. We just updated to 0.13.x and it broke autoptimize, which we had been using. Since it was broken by the update, we figured we’d give W3TC minification another go, but it seems to have broken itself too?
We tried deleting advanced-cache.php and other files – everything short of a full reinstall of W3TC, which in my past experience has often worsened my problem rather than fixed it, which leaves me extremely hesitant.

with the latest WP and W3TC installed on a php 7.x Plesk server where I’m 100% sure mode_deflate is installed GTmetrix still says the compression is not active !
moreover the W3TC compatibility check tells
mod_deflate: not detected
mod_env: not detected
mod_expires: not detected
mod_filter: not detected
mod_ext_filter: not detected
mod_headers: not detected
mod_mime: not detected
mod_rewrite: not detected
mod_setenvif: not detected
and each of these assessment is wrong
Where should I look at please?

Hello.
I’m using (premium) GDPR Cookie Consent by WebToffee
and I’m facing an issue when I activate your plugin:
It seems that cookie consent is not saved.
If a user gives consent, cookies will be downloaded on that particular page, but
if he browses on other pages, cookies won’t be downloaded.
Developer suggested to try whitelisting / excluding the below cookies which are used by their plugin:
viewed_cookie_policy
cookielawinfo-checkbox-necessary
cookielawinfo-checkbox-advertisement
cookielawinfo-checkbox-analytics
Should I just create a new Cookie Group in W3 Total Cache, uncheck cache option and put in there those?

I am stuggeling. I am new to worddpress and need to update the website for work. I am familiar with HTML programming but have not worked in wordpress before.
WordPress version 4.9.8
Using W3 Total Cache
Everything updated before we updated php and ssl certificate and wordpress which I have now downscaled from 5.3 to 4.9.8
I have done all the empty cache stuff.
What else can I do.
Have deactivated w3 – then loads the update BUT throws the whole template off.
Re-Activated and then goed back to not updating it.
Any suggestions or help? PLEASE

Hello,
I want to exclude from caching users who come through pinterest.com.
To do this I go to the configuration admin.php?page=w3tc_referrer and activate the group that is currently there. I added in “references” the pinterest domain:
pinterest\.com
and I selected a different theme for it. But when I enter from pinterest to my website, you can still see the theme that is active for other users…
What can it be?

Hi,
I installed W3TC and it improved the page speed a little bit. However somehow not all ressources have an expiration set. Some ressources seem to have it but a few other are not set.
What could be the issue here?
