JSMin minifies only half of the file

I’ve installed W3 Total Cache and played around with the minify settings.
Looking at the produced source code of one of the minified js files, I’ve noticed that it is only half minified.
Check this screenshot:

JSMin not working

The non-minified part is the beginning of a js file, part of one of the plugins. Then after it is another un-minified js file… No whitespaces or comments are removed.

I’ve selected the JSMin method for minify, and NOT “Combine Only”.

Is there some limitation of the JSMin for the size of the minified code or something?

HTML Minify removes CDATA comments

There’s no way to add CDATA to ignored comment stems. They start with /* <![CDATA[ */ and end with /* ]]> */. This just breaks a variety of things while html minify is enabled.

/* <![CDATA[ */
...
/* ]]> */

Ends up when minified as

/*
...
/*]]>*/

Browser caching is currently disabled

I’m trying to figure out why at the top of my screen just below; Jump to: Main Menu, Gneral, CSS&JS I have “Browser caching is currently disabled’

Since Google currently is giving me the stink eye because of my “Leverage Browsing” issues, I’m assuming Browser caching is currently disabled is a good place to start for a solution, but I can’t figure out how to enable it.

Totlal cache breaking my site

Hi,

I just installed W3 Total cache, and I tested it out and it impoves my speed. The problem that I have is that it strips my theme’s css out, I deactivated the plugin and it looks fine.

File usage rapid increase on server

hi,

when i have the plugin activated, the file usage on the server goes over 100% and when de-activated, everything is normal.

this only started to happen the past week, it was working fine all along. will it be because of the wordpress version 4.7.4?

Please kindly assist.

SVG max-age bug

Hi Frederick,

Great to see the new version out today.

This bug on svg still needs a fix. SVG files are using HTML max-age settings but need to use the settings for images. Note it’s not max-age, not expiry. Expiry is fine but not max-age at the moment.

For users who are not logged it is fine.
But I had to switch to SG Optimizer plugin because of this.

Hi Pal,

I’m trying to upload my media files to Amazon S3 bucket which is already created from Amazon AWS (Not through plugin), I’m using a user belongs to a group [S3 Full Access & Cloudfront Full Access] BUT on [Test S3 upload] I received this message

Error: Unable to put object (S3::putObject(): [InvalidRequest] The authorization mechanism you have provided is not supported. Please use AWS4-HMAC-SHA256.).

Update to 0.9.5.3 not completing

I’ve tried to update to 0.9.5.3 twice tonight, and each time the update just waits for a long time and never completes. I had to manually take my website out of maintenance mode each time.

Browser Cache Breaks Site + Fix!

The most recent update broke my websites. After some testing it turned out to be the browser caching, specifically the “Prevent caching of objects after settings change” option. Unchecking that in the Browser Cache settings fixed it, but it’s happening on every site.

Evidently it would append “x” and then some numbers to a bunch of .css and .js files, which turned up as 404 errors, which was problematic because I’m also running Wordfence, and my settings for that locked me out because of too many 404 errors.

I have been facing heavy server overload due to receiving too many hits from Stackpath.com website after updating W3 Total Cache plugin to 0.9.5.3 this morning. My website is totally down due to this. Please help me to fix the issue.

After i made changes in style.css file it is not getting uploaded to cdn.
i waited for some time even after that also it not updated in cdn.

what could be wrong here?
how can i debug this issue?

W3 Total Cache with Bluehost

Good morning.
We are facing some problems with W3 Total Cache hosted in Bluehost. Since three days ago, new posts are not being showing properly, they only show the new content when we use CTRL F5 to clear the browser cache and it happens also in a mobile. After press CTRL F5, the page works fine but when I press only F5, the site brings me back the old posts!
We have already uninstalled and installed it again but without success.
Can somebody help us?
Does somebody know if there is something that the Bluehost uses that can cause this behavior?
