Conflicts with Minify_Controller_MinApp class

In W3TC you’re using Minify_Controller_MinApp class by Stephen Clay, but it’s not an original version of it.

I’m pretty sure there is no such code in original class:

    foreach ($files as $file) {
        ...
        if (0 === strpos($file, '//')) {
            $file = $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] . substr($file, 1);
        }
        $realpath = \W3TC\Util_Environment::realpath($file);

And this is causing a lot of problems, if there is another plugin that also tries to use this library. Because now we have two classes with the same name, but different contents…

I guess you should rename that class, if you modified it, since it no longer is the class the name refers to…

Following is the error message,
PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare wp_cache_add() (previously declared in /htdocs/wp-content/object-cache.php:92) in /htdocs/wp-includes/cache.php on line 31

While running, any wp cli command throws aforementioned error message.
– WordPress: 5.1 multisite installation
– /wp-content/object-cache.php is present and
running updated code from from /wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/wp-content/object-cache.php

— issue started, after I have upgraded to WordPress 5.1 to my installations.
— Now no wp-cli command is working.

Issue with “The GDPR Framework” plugin

Hi!
I use the GDPR Framework plugin, and I have my cookie pop-up set to hide once the user accepts (i.e. hide all, even the “Cookie policy” tab, which takes up a lot of real estate on mobile).

I’ve played around with the W3 Total Cache settings, but I can no longer get the cookie policy tab to go away once accepted. Additionally, my page speed times are still pretty slow.

Do you have recommended settings I should use to get it to work? I’m semi-tech savvy but not a coder.

Thanks!

Form Nonce / Token Issues

Hey guys,
I need some help 🙂

We keep running into the same issue with form plugins, page-caching (both dynamic, and basic) will contain an expired nonce and the form will not submit.

Some of our websites have a form on every page, so we can’t use the exception (do not cache specific pages).

I have also tried creating a CRON job which triggers a page-flush every 10 hours (shorter than the nonce-lifespan). Using this snippet:

$w3_plugin_totalcache = new W3TC\Generic_AdminActions_Flush;
 $w3_plugin_totalcache->w3tc_flush_pgcache();

It doesn’t seem to work… Is there a global “Cache Lifetime” setting so I don’t have to use a CRON job? Or is there a way to Auto-Flush the cache after a specific time without CRON?

Appreciate your help!

Cheers,
C.

Contact form script double loaded on different language (wpml)

Hello there,

I have installed contact form 7 and wpml along with w3 total cache.

On non-default language pages the contact form 7 javascript is being loaded twice. Once inside minified file and once as normal javascript:
https://monosnap.com/file/e3CiuMQoPuKVwBZxZWMrWlZR00WTlA
This is not happening on default language pages (the javascript is being loaded only inside minified javascript).

As result, contact forms are being triggered twice each time submitted, thus giving error to submitter.

Please advice on how to fix this.

p.s. In functions file I’ve set that contact form 7 javascript file should be loaded only on pages where contact form appears (with wp_dequeue_script function).

When enabling CDN it changes special icons

Running WP 5.1 with php 7.3
When I enable CDN, it changes the icons in the menu or the searchglass in my Search or the icon to navigate from the bottom of the screen to the top.
“fa fa-chevron-up” is that called font awesome?
In either case with CDN enabled those will not work any longer.

I noticed this evening that my RSS Feed isn’t being GZIP’ed or Brotli’ed, despite compression being enabled.
Is there a feature I’ve missed to enable this/a reason it’s not gzipped?

Flushing Cache Redirects to Homepage

Hi,

I have a new website with a strange issue: when i flush cache, a redirect takes me to the homepage (and cache is flushed). It doesn’t attach the “?w3tc_note=flush_all” to the current url as i see in my other websites it redirects to http://www.domain.com/?w3tc_note=flush_all
I want to understand this, because i’m experiencing a browser cache strange redirect in a particular situation that i need to debug. I suspect that the issue i’m experiencing is related to this behaviour with flush caching in some way.

– What is the normal behaviour of this plugin?

– If it’s normal, why it’s different in different websites?

I have a VPS server with Plesk Panel updated version. I’m using apache with no nginx enabled. I have Sucuri CDN.
My rewrite rules are simple, it’s only removing index.php from all urls (standard htaccess that plesk gave me)

I’m using Page Cache, Object-Cache,Browser Cache, Opcode Cache, all in memcached where possibile.

Thanks!

W3 Total Cache is killing Revolution Slider

Every day the revolution slider that runs on my site stops working. Exactly which time I cannot tell, but I guess it’s in connection with some update that W3 Total Cache runs every 24 hours.
When I see that the slider is not visible, then it starts working if I login to the the wp-admin. Once I logout, then the slider is gone again. If I empty the cache in W3 Total Cache, then the slider comes back and is visible even if I’m logged out from wp-admin. However, the next day the slider is gone again and I once again have to empty the cache to bring the slider back. This video shows the problem.
[video src="https://www.gusty.se/slider-not-loading.mp4" /]

The minify mode is set to manual
and it’s set to never minify the following JS files: /relative_path/jquery.themepunch.revolution.min.js

Can this problem be solved somehow?

Is w3tc multisite network work with greater than 100 sites ?

Actually i have run my test case in which i have made more than 100 subside with sub domain by using multi-site. I have found get_sites(), and default options are set for each returned site. By default, get_sites returns a maximum number of 100 sites.

I want to make confirm is your plugin support more than 100 sub-site because get_sites() return maximum number 100?

Remove gzip specific locations in nginx config

As far as I know, nginx do not require to have specific locations to server gzipped files. When a client request a URI, if gzip is on, nginx just check the presence of Accept-Encoding and compress it before serving it if the mime type is compressible. That the reason of using Vary "Accept-Encoding" in the response. The response may vary depending of which encoding the client accept.
Unless I missed something, I think you can remove all locations with the _gzip suffix.

CSS Mask & minify issue

$

I am presently using the CSS mask property and CSS minification with your plugin. What is happening is since the CSS mask utilizes the url() functionality, the minification adds in the template URL. So for example:

Unminified and working
mask: url('#mask');

Minified and not working
mask: url('path/to/theme/folder/#mask');

This is making my masks disappear completely. This is only happening in Firefox since I am able to use the -webkit prefix for Chrome and others. I was wondering if there was a hook or filter where I can exclude certain CSS properties from being minified?

Thanks in advance.

Support usage of the gzip_static nginx module

Why does W3TC not use the gzip_static nginx module to serve precompressed gzipped files? I just understood that the W3TC nginx configuration emulate this module, but don’t you think that this module should do the same thing faster? The only counterpart is that the required suffix is “.gz” and not “_gzip”, so it need to be changed in W3TC.

Update to 0.9.7.2 breaks forms

Updating to 0.9.7.2 breaks my themes inline forms functionality. Disabling HTML Minify fixes it.

Original HTML:

<input class="menu-search-field" type="text" onblur="if(this.value=='')this.value='To search, type and hit enter';" onfocus="if(this.value=='To search, type and hit enter')this.value='';" value="To search, type and hit enter" name="s" />
</form>

W3 Total Cache Minified HTML:
<input class=menu-search-field type=text onblur="if(this.value=='')this.value='To search, type and hit enter';" onfocus="if(this.value=='To search, type and hit enter')this.value;" value="To search, type and hit enter" name=s></form>

Seems to be stripping out CSS class quotation marks. For now I’m using another plugin called ‘Minify HTML’ which causes no problems.

I have setup DO Spaces as a S3 Compatible CDN however when I try to do a test upload I get the following error back

Error: Unable to put object (S3::putObject(): [411] Unexpected HTTP status).

After checking error code 411 this appears to be related to a missing length header.

Some help in getting this working would be mostly appreciated.

Blog RSS feed link error

When I open my blog’s RSS feed link, the following error shows up on top:

“This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below”

I disabled all of my plugins one by one and the error disappeared when W3 Total Cache was deactivated. Upon its activation, the message again popped up.

Why is W3TC causing it and what is the solution?

Thanks.

Minify purge doesn’t update minify files on local

$

We’re using W3TC for our site and have it working fine with minify set to manual, we create a json list of scripts to minify. The issue I’m having is that while clearing cache works fine on production and staging servers, and on other developers local servers, in my WAMP local when I purge minify, it rebuilds the same file every time. No errors, success message is shown, but any changes made to the scripts is not included in the build. Disk cache is turned on.

I’ve tried the following to get changes to show up in the minified file:

– deleted entire /cache folder
– cleared browser cache
– turned off minify, turned it back on
– uninstalled w3tc, then reinstalled

What I’m most puzzled about is where on earth is W3TC reading the old version of the file, when it’s definitely been changed?

I’ve had this problem with JS files included from the theme. Haven’t tested with CSS files.
