We get a number of ‘Preload key requests’ PageSpeed errors for the fonts on our webpages. PageSpeed advises us to add <link rel=preload>
attribute. Can W3 Total Cache do that for our website? Thanks.

Hi there,
So i enabled pagecache, fragment cache both running on Redis (locally).
Our webshop has the issue at this moment that when a product is set back in stock from out of stock and the W3 cached the page when it was out of stock, it does not update that status. Is there something i should add in the settings of W3?
Enabled =
CDN (amazon) & fullsite delivery (cloudflare)
Pagecache
Browsercache
Fragment cache

Hello
I have enabled the plugin for my main site. I also use a subdomain for a different purpose (it’s not even a WordPress site). After enabling the plugin I receive 404 errors on the subdomain.
Please help to receive this.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Thank you for the awesome free plugin. This really helped a lot in our gtmatrix score. After installing the plugin and configuring it, the site seems blazing fast except for a fact that when someone logs in using our custom theme login page, it does not refresh and still shows login link. As per the suggestions here, I disabled “expires header” and “set cache with validate” and everything seems ok. But now the speed is gone and will take 3-4 seconds to validate and load.
Is there anything I can do to just validate the widget rather than the whole page? Just for this simple reason, I am losing on a fast website.
Once again, thank you for the awesome plugin.
Thanks,
Praveen

Hello. First of all thank you for such a great plugin, it already speed up my website a lot, however I still have a question. I have followed all best practices in configuration plugin from your documentation, but for some reason when I check speed test, it always shows “Leverage browser caching” – F(0) in GTMetrix or any other tools. I’m just kinda lost, have double check all of the configurations under browser caching setting but it’s all the same, F(0). My images are compressed and all around 40kb. Is there anything I should configure on top of that? Thank you in advance!

Hey there,
Thank you for the great plugin. I have a doubt, similar to someone who asked this before. Basically I use user menus for showing logged in users , the profile button and the logged out users the login button.Sometimes however (I think due to cache) it shows quite the opposite (doesn’t show you logged in even if you are). On the support page of user menus it asked people to “support regex in the Cookie Exclusion field”. Im not entirely sure on the technical aspects of this, but is there a way you can fix this? This seems to be the only issue bothering me.(I can provide details if needed)
Thanking you,
Soham

When I open a new tab in incognito(Mobile) and put a random query parameter at the end of the link it’s not showing any content. A sample url https://thenationonlineng.net/?mrfCacheBuster=123123124 but if i disable the plugin everything works well.
This issue affect mobile the most.

Hi there, I searched the forum for this topic and didn’t see any answers. Hopefully it is a straightforward easy fix.
I’ve been using W3 (free version) for 2.5 yrs now. Love the plugin and hope we can find a way to stay with W3 and not switch to WP Rocket or Super Cache.
Anyway here is what’s going on.
After some update awhile back (note sure if it was a W3 update or a WP update) my drop down menu on mobile stopped working and was/is broken. (i.e. you hit “menu” and nothing happens)
So I knew it was likely a plugin and after disabling and reenabling all of them it turns out W3 is the culprit.
I’m hoping that perhaps the issue is in the settings. My first thought was to do a default reset of the settings but I can’t for the life of me find that option anymore.
So other than uninstalling and switching to a different plugin (which I’d rather not do) I figured I’d ask for some help in troubleshooting this issue.
Does anyone have any ideas for how to troubleshoot/fix?
Thank you and let me know if you need any further details.
Cheers!

We are using a WordPress rewrite rule to have a custom URL alias the content from one of our feeds:
^show/podcast$ -> index.php?feed=podcast
When we turn on page caching in W3TC, it correctly caches the response from the feed in the proper cache directory according to our rewrite rule:
../cache/page_enhanced/www.site.com/show/podcast/_index_ssl.xml
Further requests are served directly from the cache as expected (notice the .xml extension since XML content was cached).
The issue arises when we try to purge the cached page in the Purge Policy. Whenever a new podcast post is created, we’d like to purge the cached feed response for the location above. We added show/podcast to the Additional pages section but the the cache is never purged for this URL. The only way to clear it is to do a Purge All Caches.
After some debugging, we determined the reason why it’s not getting purged per the policy config. When W3TC attempts to purge the Additional pages URLs it’s expecting HTML content was cached and the cache keys it’s trying to flush are like:
../cache/page_enhanced/<em>siteurl</em>/show/podcast/_index_ssl.html
(notice .html extension)
Nothing matches this key because it was XML content that was cached. It would be nice if W3TC could somehow determine the content type that was originally cached and correctly purge cache entries based on this. As it stands right now, we have to nuke the cache every time we publish a new podcast and can’t really benefit from scheduled posting since the feed going out to podcast directories isn’t automatically updated.
Is there any existing feature / config that could help us achieve this short of waiting for a future W3TC version?
Thanks kindly!

When doing the GTMetrix performance test, the results under YSlow says ‘Add Expires Headers”.
However, in the W3 Total Cache setting for Browser cache, I have checked ‘Add Expires Headers”. Why do I still get this error?

Recently I upgraded W3TC plugin from version 0.9.5.1 to version 0.14.3 in my website. After the upgrade, the wp-content/cache/page_enchanced folder gone missing along with the .htaccess file in it. Usually I will delete the page_enhanced folder before every build and the page_enchaned folder will be recreated automatically after the build. But after this plugin upgrade Page_enhanced folder found missing. May I know how to resolve this ?

I have a strange issue with w3 total cache minify on one site. Manual minify doesn’t work and in auto mode several minified files are created https://prnt.sc/uji8kb.
It is showing even when I have cleared the cache folder, set the default theme without plugins.

I just noticed that the main menu of my site stopped showing.
The only way I could fix it was to disable the minify setting in W3 Total Cache.
Is there anyway to still allow minify but not have it effect my main menu showing?

I will do my best to explain this. I started noticing high server response rate. I believe it may be related to the latest version of the plugin but not sure. I used google developer tools in chrome and I discovered what is causing it.
When the document is loaded via disk cache or prefetch cache there are no issues, However, when the document loads returns 304 I am experiencing very high initial connection.
I am providing screenshots so you may see. I am using both page and browser cache, max age public.
prefech, 7ms: https://imgur.com/a/qzPuzG9
304, over 600ms: https://imgur.com/a/XGm0zGL
I noticed that in the ‘initiator’ section when there is a high server response rate it says ‘other.’ When it loads fast in the ‘initiator’ section it says disk cache or prefetch cache.
Please advise.

After enabling minify settings, the menu stooped functioning. Along with that, the other two plugins function stopped working and disappeared. Settings I enabled on W3 Total Cache are https://prnt.sc/ukj2eu
The error shown in the google console is https://prnt.sc/ukj38q.
How can I fix that? After disabling minify options, it works fine but then site speed have no effect, i.e. performance doesn’t improve which contradicts the use of the W3 Total Cache plugin.

Hello,
I have a folder with marketing images that in the root of the WordPress installation (where the favicon, wp-config, and the other wp files are) and I would like to include it and its image files to W3TC so the images are pick up and deliver using CDN service that I’m using.
So the question is, what’s the proper format to specify a folder with images in the W3TC > CDN > Custom File List box so the files are delivered by the CDN network connected with W3TC?
I know a file in the root folder, you simply specify the name, for example: favicon.ico. If it’s a folder inside a known folder, such as plugins directory, you use something like {plugins_dir}/*.png, but I don’t how to specify a folder available in root.

I’m using W3TC and Redirection plugins on my website, using Redirection I created custom rules to detect operation system (Macintosh vs Windows), and x86 vs x64 Windows version to server correct file to download (https://cherpake.com/get -> Download button).
Whenever I enable Page Cache – it caches first redirect and continues to serve it to other users, ignoring the custom rule, despite the fact I marked those as 307 redirects.
I looked for an option to disable this behavior but didn’t find it under Page Cache settings.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
